PSG and Chelsea have been informed of Robert Lewandowski’s imminent Barça move

According to Fabrizio Romano, both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have been informed of Robert Lewandowski’s imminent move to Barcelona. The two clubs have been told that the Polish striker’s move to Catalonia is in the final stages – with the player only intending to move to Barcelona. Lewandowski agreed personal terms with Barcelona four months ago, and will sign a three-year deal at the club.

RMC Sport reported earlier this week that Barcelona met Bayern Munich’s asking price of €50m in what was the Catalonian side’s third bid for the forward. Paris Saint-Germain considered Lewandowski as the club’s number one target in their search for a striker this summer – PSG director Antero Henrique held talks with the players’ agents at the end of last month.

However, the move was always dependant on talks between Bayern Munich and Barcelona breaking down – it looks certain that PSG will miss out on their ‘dream’ signing of the summer. The Parisian side have been looking at other options, such as Sassoulo’s Gianluca Scamacca (22) and Reims’ Hugo Ekitiké (20) – the club have reached an agreement with the latter today and are on the verge of signing the young striker as a back-up option to Kylian Mbappé.
