As reported by Ignazio Genuardi, Roma are close to giving up on their pursuit of Marseille’s defensive midfielder Boubacar Kamara this month, having tried everything to convince the player to move to Italy – even a call from coach Jose Mourinho.
Roma have pushed on negotiations with Marseille on the 22-year-old, offering midfielder Amadou Diawara (24) in part exchange as one of many possible options, but Kamara is keen to wait until the end of the season and more advantageous conditions as a free agent.
Strasbourg midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko (24), who has enjoyed a quietly excellent season as RCSA mix it in Ligue 1’s top 4, has emerged as the main alternative for the Italian club.
