Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced today that they have completed the signing of Angers defensive midfielder Romain Saiss.
Saiss joins the Championship club on a four-year-deal from the Ligue 1 club for an undisclosed fee and has become Wolves’ 10th summer signing under new boss Walter Zenga.
Saiss made 35 appearances for Angers last season, and helped the club to a ninth place finish after a great start to the campaign. The midfielder has also been capped 5 times by Morocco, and has spoken about moving to the Midlands club.
“I am very happy to be here. Wolves is a good club for me” said Saiss speaking to the official club website.
“It has a good project to get to the Premier League. The stadium, the fans and the training facilities are fantastic and I’m really happy to come here. I hope to play in many matches and help take the club to the Premier League as soon as possible.”
