Sochaux today have confirmed that central midfielder Thomas Guerbert will leave the club to join Clermont Foot on a two-year-contract.
The central midfielder was about to go into the final year of his contract at the Ligue 2 club, but the 27-year-old who spent three seasons as Sochaux will move on to fellow Ligue 2 club Clermont Foot.
Guerbert joined Sochaux in 2013 from Dijon for £1.31M, making 51 appearances in that time, scoring one goal and grabbing four assists. His Sochaux career suffered a tough start when he sustained a serious injury back in 2013 against AS Saint-Etienne.
