FC Nantes are in active discussions with Championship side Aston Villa over the possible signing of central midfielder Jordan Veretout.

As reported by Gianluca di Marzio, Nantes have been in discussions with Aston Villa for some time now over a possible return for their initial youth academy product, but the Championship outfit are playing hardball in fee negotiations.
Veretout has been on President Kita’s watchlist for some time and the French side remain confident of reaching an agreement.
