Angers will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing midweek defeat when they face Lyon at the Stade Jean Bouin on Saturday afternoon. The hosts have faltered in recent weeks, falling to Nice, PSG and, most recently, Reims. They are, however, very much still in the fight for a Champions League qualification spot; Stephane Moulin’s men head into this match fourth in the table.
Lyon, meanwhile, reverted back to winning ways by defeating Bordeaux 3-0 in midweek. Their recent poor form means the visitors still languish in 10th, but due to the tightness of Ligue 1’s mid-table, they can move to within one point of Angers and the top four if they win this one.
Earlier this season, Angers beat Lyon 2-0 thanks to a Cheikh Ndoye brace.
